This is a work in progress - do not consider it a complete reference at this time
Rough Planning Numbers
- 32-36 ft^2 (3-3.33 m^2) per participant
- SIPit18 had 5200ft^2 (482m^2) for 160 participants - SIPit18 Floor Plan
- 3Mbps network connection to the Internet
- ~1Mbps has proven to be too slow
- Several recent events have run with 100Mbps links
Points to Consider
- The most important component of the SIPit is the network. This is also the hardest component to get and keep running.
What We've Learned
- For the purpose of keeping this page more focused on the overall logistics, please see Hosts Lessons Learned.
